I have been working on scrappy blocks for a new queen-sized bed quilt for myself. I started with 320 paper templates, cut at 5″ from an old phone book. Testing the layout of 16 squares (trimmed to 4.75″) on the design wall. Need 20 of these blocks that are 17.5″ unfinished. Auditioning the 20 blocks…
Not much stitching going on here this week, but I did manage to finish six applique posy needle cases. One I will mail to my swap partner later today and a couple others to friends.
It’s Share-It Tuesday! Not much stitching time here the past week. I have been working on six applique posy needle cases. One will go to my swap partner next week and a couple others to friends. I’ll keep a couple here for emergency quilting gifts. Fabric (except the felt) is my own hand dyed.
Here’s what I accomplished the past week. Block 7 of Rachel’s Pinwheel Sampler Quilt. Block 8 for this sampler quilt was our choice. I chose Mosaic 2: Yippee!! The blocks are all done for the Pinwheel Sampler. I also stitched the top and bottom borders and the sashing cornerstones. Now to it put together… soon!…

This weekend, I finished the last stitches on the Floral Delight applique from the Lancaster class I took with Linda M. Poole. Linda teaches a freezer paper and glue stick method of applique.
